Roy Strong has been helping people make money in direct sales / networking marketing for over a decade.
He joined Parfums du Monde, and after building the most successful team, he and Hayley Hewitt made an offer for the company and took over the whole business in March 1995. Under their ownership it grew into one of the most recognised names within the industry, being voted for over a year the most popular business opportunity by readers of Profit Magazine and also the business with which most people had made money by members of the Insider Fellowship.
Due partly to Hayley's health and largely because of the sheer cost of keeping up with technological developments within the cosmetics arena they decided to close Du Monde in July 1998 whilst it was on a high and were praised throughout the trade press for the professional and fair way the closure was handled.
Roy could not stay away from networking
for long and under the recommendation of John Burdis joined Yves Rocher Direct. Again the Haydon's Team (name was a combination of Hayley and Roydon), now solely owned by Roy quickly became the largest and most successful in the UK company.
Unfortunately and to everyone's surprise, in December 2002 Yves Rocher announced that UK Direct was to close. Sad as this was it gave Roy the chance to take a fresh look at the opportunities available and he joined a swedish cosmetics company. There Roy's Haydon's Team enjoyed great success and rapid growth, expanding the business into many parts of the UK and Ireland that had not seen a consultant for some time. In December 2005, Roy won the prestigious accolade of Regional Manager of The Year 2005 but he had been losing faith in the company and he felt that he could not honestly promote a business that he no longer believed in.
The FM Factor
It was at this time that Roy had contact with Anita Sceniec, who was to become Chief Executive Officer of FM Group UK. Roy was very impressed with the growth of FM Group in Europe, Anita's dynamic leadership style, her plans for the UK and the amazing quality of the products. This meeting with Anita, and the way she spoke about and believed in both FM Group and Network Marketing, was the moment Roy knew he wanted to leave the swedish cosmetics company and he began to look around.
However, it was not to FM Group he went. The UK operation was in the process of being established and Roy knew his timing had to be right. He stayed in contact with Anita and watched with interest what was happening.
In late 2006, the temptation to join became too strong. Whilst continuing to develop his other business, Roy knew that he also wanted to work with FM Group. He could see the incredible potential that FM Group has both in the UK and worldwide and the time was now right to get involved.
Within days, many of the people who had worked with Roy before were asking to join him in FM Group and the rapid growth of the team began.
Throughout Roy's networking career his basic idea has been the same, whether you wish to earn some extra money or want to build a large organisation, Roy aims to provide everyone in his team with friendly support along the way.
